2012 SILVER GLOVES
The 2012 Silver Gloves will be hosted by Mission City Boxing in June.
The tournament has a deep history that traces back to 1943
Recognized as the founder of the SILVER GLOVES was well known
VAL ROACH.
Following the 1960 SILVER GLOVES which was hosted by the
South Burnaby Boxing Club, the tournament remained inactive.
In 1967, the old Diamond Belt tournament was revived, at the
Silver Gloves followed the revival and to help in the opportunity
for Senior novice boxers in 1968. The 1968 tournament would also
be open for the open junior boxers. I remember the likes of
Tony James, Bob Lewis and Gordie Lawson in 1968.

*Alan Brown of Campbell River and Gold river Boxing club was
